Fishing and Boating at Fort Loudoun State Park, Tellico Lake

Fort Loudoun State Park, located on the banks of Tellico Lake in Eastern Tennessee is a 1,200 acre site located near the city of Vonore. Much of the park's acreage lies on an island on the lake, which gives boaters and fisherman alike a very unique recreational area. All types of boats are allowed. Two boat docks, available to the general public border the park. Skiing, fishing and touring are boating activities enjoyed by the many visitors. Youngsters under 13 years of age are not required to have a fishing license, while those 13-15 need a Junior Fishing License. All others will need a valid Tennessee Fishing License. The licenses can be purchased form most county clerks, hardware stores, local gas stations, sporting good stores and TWRA offices. Hiking is another park activity enjoyed by many, there are over 5 miles of winding, connecting trails affording opportunities for wildlife sightings.

Not far from the historical and recreational site, along Tellico Lake is a gated community, The Ridges at Tellico Lake. Two models are open daily, beautifully furnished and ready for inspection. The award winning homes are offered at fractional ownership from just $149,000 and feature spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains.
